According to the dictionary patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. So how are you reacting to trouble or suffering? More importantly, are you patient with yourself?
We practice an extraordinary amount of patience with those around us - kids, partners, colleagues, friends, family etc but how does one practice patience with themselves? Also, why is it important to practice patience with ourselves?
The answer is simple, we have a tendency to be our own worst critics but with the state of the world and with all the responsibility we have and for all the patience we have for those around us, we have to give ourselves grace. Giving yourself grace looks like accepting things you cannot change and making a plan for the things that you can. It also looks like being patient with the process of change and growth. As Fall continues to roll in and bring us falling leaves and cooler temperatures, it’s the perfect time to reflect on habits we need to leave behind, shed and abandon. It will take time to master these changes and that’s ok, just remember to have patience with the process.
The Fall season, the inspiration for reflection and the desire to grow inspired us to create a new scent for this season of reflection, Patience. Notes of tobacco and bergamot gently caress your senses and allow you to release the stress and tension of the day. This scent reminds you that simplicity is beautiful and peaceful. Patience is available in the Fall collection.
